Assalam Alaikum all! I should have posted this before Jummuah but I was trying to catch up with my own Quran reading xD Anyways, here are some hadiths describing the virtues of reading Surah Kahf on Jummuah. Abu Sa'id Al-Khudri رضي الله عنه reported that the Messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه وسلم said, "Whoever reites Surat Al-Kahf on the Day of Jummuah then he will be given a light between the two Jummuahs (that Friday and the following Friday" (Al-Baihaqi 2:249) Abu Ad-Darda رضي الله عنه narrated the Messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه وسلم said, "Whoever memorises ten verses from the beginning of Surah Al-Kahf, he will be saved from the trial of the Antichrist (Ad-Dajjal)" So let's make it a practice to read Surah Al-Kahf on Jummuahs. A good way to remember to read it can be read it while at the masjid for Jummuah salah. Or adjust your Jummuah timetable to fit a time where you recite Surah Al-Kahf. I hope this help inshaAllah and I will be back with more stuff soon inshaAllah Add Comment Assalam Alaikum, yesterday I was stuck in the middle of no where basically so today I'll post another hadith, this time describing the virtues of the last verses of Surah Baqarah Ibn Mas'ud رضي الله عنه narrated that the Messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه وسلم said, "Whoever recites the last two verses of Surat Al-Baqarah during the night, they will be sufficient for him." (Bukhari and Muslim) So let's make it a practice to read these ayahs before we go to sleep. Need help remembering? Try and associate reading these ayahs with a practice you usually do at night, maybe brushing your teeth? Getting into bed? Virtues Of The Quran Duas And Namaz : Part 2 08/04/2011
Assalam Alaikum all. Subhanallah we just had iftar here in London! xD I've just sat down so I thought I'll post another part to this series inshaAllah. Today I thought I'll write about a significant ayah in Surah Baqara: Ayatul Kursi (ayah no. 255) So today's hadith is: Abu Umamah رضي الله عنه narrated that the Messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه وسلم said, "Whoever recites Ayat Al-Kursi at the end of every obligatory prayer, nothing will prevent him from entering into Paradise except that he must (first) die" Subhanallah what a lovely hadith! Maybe some of you may have heard of this before, so lets make it a practise to read this ayah at the end of every fard prayer : D Now I don't to leave anyone out, so for those of you who may be unaware of the ayah, here is a translation for it. Allah! La ilaha illa Huwa (none has the right to be worshipped but He), Al-Hayyul-Qayyum (the Ever Living, the One Who sustains and protects all that exists). Neither slumber nor sleep overtakes Him. To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth. Who is he that can intercede with Him except with His Permission? He knows what happens to them (His creatures) in this world, and what will happen to them in the Hereafter. And they will never compass anything of His Knowledge except that which He wills. His Kursi extends over the heavens and the earth, and He feels no fatigue in guarding and preserving them. And He is the Most High, the Most Great. [This Verse 2:255 is called Ayat-ul-Kursi ] Virtues of the Quran, duas and namaz: Part 1 08/03/2011
Assalam Alaikum everyone out there : ) I've been wanting to start a series where I post virtues of surahs' in the Quran, duas and namaz (e.g different nafl). I did want to start this at the beginning of Ramadan but I had other things pending (like the dahi video xD) and I couldn't find one of my books (which I still havn't found -__-;;). So for that reason I may not be able to post virtues of namaz until later. InshaAllah this will help you learn more about what surahs and duas you are reading and more! Anyways : D today I will start with hadith on the virtues of the Quran. This one is on virtues of reciting the Quran: Aishah رضي الله عنها narrated that the Messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه وسلم said, "The one who recites the Quran proficiently will be with the noble ambassador angels, and the one who stumbles through its recitation with difficulty, he will get two rewards" (Bukhari and Muslim) So there's our hadith for enlightment today : ) InshaAllah tomorow I will start with virtues of some surahs of the Quran. Ah! And its Ramadan, so even if you are finding it hard to read all of it, keep this hadith in mind : D InshaAllah until next time, Assalam alaikum : D (and here's a pretty picture from me xD) | AuthorSalam, greetings, Hana here.
